"Play Where the Pros Play" Package Offers Luxury Accommodations and a Chance to Win a Spot in the 2015 Pro-Am
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is pleased to welcome the fifth annual LPGA Kia Classic for its second year at Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, CA. In 2013, the resort became the first property in the Park Hyatt portfolio to host a PGA or LPGA Tour event with a three-year event contract. The 2014 Kia Classic is scheduled for March 24-30, and it will feature a field of the world’s top female golfers televised nationally on The Golf Channel.
“We’re honored to welcome the return of the talented LPGA athletes for the 2014 Kia Classic”, said Scott Allen, General Manger for Park Hyatt Aviara Resort. “It was a privilege to welcome the first LPGA or PGA event into the Park Hyatt family last year with tremendous success. We anticipate this year’s tournament to be equally exciting for players and fans alike, and are delighted to continue our partnership with the LPGA and Kia.”
Now in its fifth year, the 2014 Kia Classic will feature a field of 144 of the top female golfers in the world, including 2013 Kia Classic Champion Beatriz Recari and crowd favorites Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson, competing for a $1.7 million purse.
"San Diego knows and appreciates great golf and we are thrilled to partner with one of the destination’s premier courses,” said Tournament Director Dennis Baggett. “The beauty and challenge of Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club, coupled with the five-star service at the resort, will present a first-class experience for players and guests.”
Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club, named by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine as one of the best resort golf courses in America and the No.1 golf resort in San Diego according to the readers of Condé Nast Traveler, overlooks the beautiful Batiquitos Lagoon ecological reserve and is the only San Diego golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. Aviara features a memorable par-72 coastal layout that stretches 7,007 yards and is uniquely sculpted through rolling hillsides, native wildflowers and plenty of bunker and water challenges. The golf club is part of the AAA Five Diamond-rated Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, which features 327 guest rooms, four on-site restaurants, full-service spa, tennis courts, fitness facility and more.
In celebration of the Kia Classic, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is now offering an exclusive “Play Where the Pros Play” package through the end of the year. The package includes automatic entry into the 2015 Pro Am, as well as Park Suite accommodations and unlimited golf for two, lunch at Argyle Steakhouse, personalized bag tags, and Kia Classic valuables.
